Sally Sussman Morina is an Emmy Award And WGA Award-winning Writer, Producer, and Documentary Filmmaker. One of her feature documentaries “Midnight Return: The Story of Billy Hayes and Turkey ”  was premiered at Cannes Film Festival in the year 2016. 

Sally was born on 2nd September 1956, in Toronto, Canada. The director has been very much private about her personal and early life. There is not much information about her early education and parents.

After completion of her high school, Sally joined the University of Southern California. After graduating from her University, Sally started to work with William J. Bell as a Storyline Consultant from 1983 to 1988 for The Young and the Restless.

Professional Career

Sally worked as a writer independently up until 1988. The following year, she was appointed as the Head Writer and Executive Producer on 27th March 1989 of the show, Generations. She was also the creator of the Show.  

She worked there for two years until 1991 and then joined various shows as a writer. She joined The Facts of Life show, Knots Landing, and Freshman Dorm as a writer up until 1996. In the year 1996, the Emmy award-winning producer joined the Television show, Another world where she was a Script Writer.

The same year, Sally was appointed as the Associate Head Writer for the television show, Days of Our Lives. She worked for the company for around four years in various positions. In the year 1997, she was made the Co-Head Writer from 21 November 1997 till January 5, 1998. After that, she was appointed as Head Writer until October 15, 1999.

The WGA Award-Winning Producer took a break from her busy life in the year 2000. Sally was then appointed as Executive Producer and Head writer for one year by Spyder Games Series. There is not much more information about the producer life between 2001 and 2005 before joining the set of The Young and The Restless.

Sally was appointed as the Associate Head Writer and Breakdown Writer from June 5, 2005, to November 2006. The same year, she worked with John F. Smith as Storyline Consultant. 

Sally created the American Sitcom Show called Days of our Lives in 2009. She went on to work behind the scene for The Young and Restless Team for the next eight years up until 2015. In the year 2016, Sally was announced as the Head Writer and Co-Executive Producer. Mal Young succeeded her for the role of Co-Executive and Head Writer.

The WGA Award-winning writer has been married to one of the most famous American soap Directors and Producers, Anthony Morina. Its been a while since the couple has been married, but the exact date is not mentioned to the public.

Both of the couples have tried to remain away from the attention of the media ever since. The producers have a son, Adam Morina, who is also a writer and producer. The couple has been living a very cooperative life. There have been no rumors of having an extramarital affair to date.
