Ron Magers was born on 27 August 1944 in San Bernardino, California, is an American news anchor. In the past, Magers had worked for WLS-TV in Chicago, Illinois, owning and operating the ABC station. The highest rate is 5:00 p.m. Magers were co-anchored. Then at 10 a.m. Broadcasts by Cheryl Burton and Kathy Brock, respectively. He’s a brother of Paul Magers, a former TV host, and KCBS-TV reporter for CBS ‘Los Angeles station.
Since a very young age, Magers was interested in journalism and gained broadcasting experience when he was a high school student. He lived in Toppenish, Washington, where he presented radio shows and worked as a journalist part-time.

He started his broadcasting career at his high school in Toppenish, Washington, for the first time. Later, as reporter and news contributor, he joined KEZI-TV at Eugene in 1965, which was the beginning of his actual career.
In 1971, Magers hosted the syndicated show Ron Magers Electric Experiences, a community of W broadcasted nationally for 30 minutes per week. Ron played a significant role in his profession by covering and anchoring news media networks. He anchored KPIX-TV in San Francisco, California from 1968-74, hired ABC (formerly NBC) affiliated in Minneapolis, Saint Paul (from 1974 to 81) for KSTP-TV and co-anchored WMAQ-TV newscasts from 1981-97 at 5, 6 and 10 pm. Magers joined WLS later in 1998 and left with a late evening newscast with tributes from coworkers and staff from ABC on 25 May 2016. During his career, he owned six Chicago Emmy Awards.
