Jon Lovitz is recognized as a cast member of Saturday Night Live, from 1985 to 1990, as a stand-up US comedian, actor, and singer. He is also famous for his role in The Critic, Jay Sherman. Among others, he holds film credits in The Brave Little Toaster, Big and High School.
Jon was born on July 21, 1957, in Tarzana, Los Angeles, California, to Jonathan Michael Lovitz. His dad was a surgeon, and his family emigrated with Russia, Romania, and Hungary. Lovitz had been born Jewish. Two girls, Leslie Lovitz and Lisa Lovitz were finished in 1975 at Harvard-Westlake School in Los Angeles. Jon has made a significant contribution to the film industry. Throughout his professional career, he has done hundreds of movies and TV shows, establishing himself as one of Hollywood’s leading actors. He joined the Groundlings, an improvisational and sketchy comedy band in LA after graduating. He met Phil Hartman there who recommended him for a Saturday Night Live audition, and the rest was history. His Saturday Night Live success improved his future comedian career.
