Eminem is also known for his troubled life, apart from his musical career. And today we’ll think about his relationship with his mother and other members of his family. In 2008, his mother, Deborah R. Nelson-Mathers, wrote My Son Marshall, My Son Eminem.

    Early Life

Grammy ‘s mother, Deborah, was born in the United States on 6 January 1955 to Betty Hixson and Bob Nelson ‘s parents. Eminem is her only son. She welcomed Marshall Bruce Mathers Jr with her late husband. The mother-son duo participated in a debate when Debbie sued her son for massive cash.

    Relationship Status

Deborah Rae Nelson was a member of a musical band called daddy Warbucks and her late husband, Marshall. On 17 October 1972, they welcomed their only son, Marshall Bruce Mathers III. Debbie has been said to have almost died in her 73-hour work.

After leaving Debbie, Eminem ‘s father left the house. Sarah and Michael Mathers, he went on to have two other children. Similarly, Debbie had another son, Nathan. The name of her second husband is John Briggs. She was rough and had to switch from one position to another often. She didn’t have a good relationship with Eminem, either

    Suffered From Mental Disease

The renowned rapper has often criticized his parents through his songs. After her husband left the family, Debbie worked remote jobs and fought against mental anxiety and depression.

She and Eminem lived in poverty and mostly moved from Michigan to Missouri. In the same way, they lived in various places in Missouri, such as St. Joseph, Savannah, and the city of Kansas.

Eminem was famous in the late 1990s. His mother started to cash in his fame after he got up to the stardom. Eminem said that the family lived in the welfare of foundations during its trying period. He also accused her of being a drug addict, and in several interviews, he talked badly about it.

In 2008, Deborah published a memo in which she told her side of the story ‘My Son Marshall, My Son Eminem.’ She said that Eminem’s accusations and his story were full of lies; he made a successful rapper. Nevertheless, Eminem expressed his thankfulness and affection for his mother in his 2014 album Headlights. The mother-son duo has been on good terms since then.

    Debbie sued her own son

In 1999, Deborah sued Eminem for 10 million dollars in his album The Slim Shady and media tabloids for tarnishing it. She received only $1,600 for her damages in 2001.

In his songs, Eminem had previously opened his revolt against Debbie. Eminem singles on one of his albums, “My f*kin  bitch mom suing for 10 million / she must want a dollar for every one of the pills I’ve been stealing / shit, where the fuck you feel I’ve gotten the habit / All I’ve got to do is go into her room and lift a mattress.”
